Vermont Comic Con

Over the weekend I went to Vermont Comic Con & OMG was it seriously the best time of my life :D

I had never been to a Con & always wanted to but being physically disabled I can't travel very far so when I found out that Vermont was doing a Comic Con I freaked out with excitement & not only did it match my expectations but it smashed my expectations it was so much better than I had ever imagined. The costumes were so fantastic & everyone was super nice.

I got the VIP ticket so I got to get in a half an hour early which I was so glad because I could really take in the show without to much of a crowd. The best part of getting in was having first chance at stuff like meeting artists/authors/guests. I met Bob Layton & Nick Bradshaw who were so incredibly nice, got their autographs & talked with them for a while it was so much fun. Talked to Bon Layton about Robert Downey Jr. & he went in & on about what a great guy he is which amazing to here :)
I have to say though after talking to Nick Bradshaw for a while (while he was making me a sketch, which as soon as it's framed I'll show off) he has to be my FAVORITE artist he's not only a fantastic artist but just a great human being I think he has to be the highlight of the Con for me & I hope he's back next year :)

I seriously could go on & on about how fantastic Comic Con was & I must say if you ever have the chance to go to a Con GO because they are just so much fun I can't even put into words.

Got a few art pieces from Amanda Dufrense (which I will show off when I get frames) WOW does someone ha e to snatch her up in the comic book industrie preferably Marvel because her art blew my mind phenomenal.

The vendors were great as well got a couple of really cool t-shirts from Level Up Studios which I LOVE.

I would have to say though my favorite vendor of the Con was HockeyMonkey10 their just on eBay but had a table at Comic Con they were so nice & I got to really talk about superhero stuff.
There was one piece that I desperately wanted because I've been wanting it for years the Marvel Legends Sinister Six box set & I was passing his booth when it caught my eye & I geeked out so bad :) I was thinking it over because it's pricey online it goes for $300 easy he had it for $250 but was willing to drop to $193 still pricey but man did I want it so I went to the Con with my Mom (which we do everything together she's my best friend) & she stepped in & got it for me as a matter of fact she treated me to the whole Con :)
Anyway I was thrilled, the next next I go back & the Vendor told me that there was guy behind that was going for the piece as well but I got to it first & he was hoping I was going to put it back (which I didn't) but after I left the guy asked the Vendor if I had purchased the Marvel Legends Sinister Six box set & he said yes. So I am so glad I didn't wait on it because I would have missed out.
The meaning to this tail is if you want something bad enough don't wait because you might not get it later.

I want to tell you that Mom is my best friend & even though Comic Books/Superheroes aren't her thing she goes out of her way to support my hobbie & without her I wouldn't be who I am today a major Geek she's my best friend & I love her to death & seriously the best Mom in the whole world.
Thanks Mom :)

Wow this was long blog but I really loved Vermont Comic Con lol.
