The Imitation Game won Best Addapted Screenplay & Graham Moore made a speech that touched me to the core: I'm paraphrasing but "to the kid that feels weird & different & doesn't fit in yes you do, stay weird, stay different".
Growing up I was weird & different I always tried to change to fit in then I read my first comic book when I was about 13/14 years old called Spider-Man & it changed my whole life I was like you know what I'm weird I'm different I'm a Geek so screw everyone else that doesn't like it.
I was weird because I liked collecting toys, watching cartoons, not dressing girly enough, & eventually reading comic books.
I was different because I'm physically dissabled which always made me self conscious because people would/will stare, make comments as they walk by.
But now I ignore them if they don't like it that's their problem not mine.
So now when says your weird & different I'm like yep & damn proud of it :)
To every kid out there that is struggling just be who you wanted to be & if people don't like it screw them. Be weird & different BE PROUD.
One more thing if you are struggling through school because you're weird & different I promise it will get better just hang in there :)
Till next time stay Stay Weird & Different
